Salonee Seecharan is a doctoral student in sociology at the University of Notre Dame, and a PhD fellow at the Kellogg Institute of International Studies. She holds an M.A. from UCLA in Social Science and a BA in Sociology from Notre Dame.

Her research interests surround international migration, identity formation, and diasporas. She is particularly interested in the ways in which culture and identity are retained and developed as a product of colonialism and migration.
