Priscila Villela is a professor at the Pontifical Catholic University of São Paulo, a research member of the Global Initiative Against Transnational Organized Crime (GI-TOC), and vice-leader of the Center for Transnational Security Studies (NETS). Her field of research covers violence, criminality, and policing from a transnational perspective, addressing issues related to security governance, police cooperation, drug policy, and urban violence. Her latest articles include: “Transnational policing field: the relations between the Drug Enforcement Administration and the Brazilian Federal Police” (Lua Nova, 2021) and “International Law and Order Enforcement: Police Assistance Programs and Politics in US-Brazil Relations” (RBPI, 2022).
