Preserving Studies of Popular Protest in Venezuela

2022-2023

This project seeks to rescue Venezuela´s academic production on Popular Protest in the Twentieth Century, by making an inventory and putting together and curating an anthology of the more important articles on this topic. I expect between twenty to forty original papers published in Spanish and English plus my introduction and a conclusion. This dimension of our sociopolitical processes is key for understanding the centrality of citizens and their collective and individual struggles in the making of a democratic political system. The anthology will help scholars and young generations of social and political activists to discover and understand Venezuela´s social history “from below”.
