Currently, I am planning on writing my thesis on energy security’s effect on development in Southeast Asia. My focus will primarily be on the natural gas market and the potential for Singapore to become a natural gas hub for the region which could lead to a more liberalized commodity market. Aside from researching for my thesis, I am currently working with Professor Brooks to compile a database of past examples of trade reform and the methodology used to conclude whether or not trade reform affects productive efficiency and growth.
During my sophomore year, I received a grant through the Nanovic Institute to conduct research in London regarding where disarmament think tanks stand on their view of nuclear disarmament or nonproliferation. This was part of a broader study where two of my research partners went to Budapest and Moscow respectively in order for us to understand the variations in perspective between disarmament think tanks in Europe. If you have any questions about the grant process and conducting research, please feel free to reach out via my email above.
