The Kellogg Institute for International Studies, part of the University of Notre Dame’s new Keough School of Global Affairs, is an interdisciplinary community of scholars that promotes research, provides educational opportunities, and builds linkages related to democracy and human development.

Karen Clay is the communications manager for the Kellogg Institute, where she leads the communications team and oversees marketing communications for the Institute.
Clay has worked in marketing communications for more than 25 years, directing communications in for-profit and Catholic not-for-profit organizations in Chicago, New York City, and Columbus, Ohio, before coming to Notre Dame in 2014. She earned a BA in international journalism and Spanish from Carroll University and holds certifications in project management and budget management.
