About

Kellogg Institute Advisory Board member Bert Piedra has more than 30 years experience in the financial services industry, primarily in senior management roles in investment banking. He has led and managed major international mergers and acquisition transactions, spanning the United States, South America, and Europe.

Piedra has worked in the not-for-profit sector since 2009, when he left mainstream investment banking as head of Global Banking at Dresdner Kleinwort. He currently manages his family office and sits on the board of Ignite D2K, a company that optimizes the strength of the internet through big data.

He spent the majority of his for-profit career (1987–2003) at Goldman Sachs, largely working overseas, and worked as well at Bank of America and Marine Midland Bank.

Piedra has served on the boards of the World Wildlife Fund UK, Sentebale (Prince Harry’s Charity in Africa), and the University of Notre Dame's London Global Gateway. He graduated from Notre Dame in 1978 with an undergraduate degree in business.

Piedra joined Kellogg's Advisory Board in 2016.
