About

Katherine Mo is a sophomore majoring in Neuroscience and Behavior in the College of Science with a pre-med focus. Her academic interests center on global health research, particularly in tropical medicine and infectious diseases. Katherine is a POSSE Scholar and a participant in Notre Dame’s Transformational Leaders Program. She is also an active member of the American Medical Women's Association. During the summer, she participated in the Notre Dame Bridge Program through the Institute for Social Concerns, where she conducted research on the sustainability of community organizations in under-resourced areas. She helped to lead and develop the curriculum for a two-month STEAM-focused summer camp for middle school students, emphasizing hands-on learning and experiential education. On campus, Katherine serves on her hall council, where she collaborates with students and staff to create a weekly newsletter highlighting dorm events and campus activities. Her coursework and laboratory experiences have sparked a passion for wet lab research and working with model organisms, further deepening her commitment to science and medicine.
