Brady Shin is a first-year student at the University of Notre Dame majoring in Science Preprofessional Studies. He is passionate about addressing the influence of social determinants on the well-being of children & families, advocating for health equity, and improving healthcare outcomes for underserved communities. His previous involvement with the Center for Allergy & Asthma Research at the Feinberg School of Medicine influenced his interest in public health research and advocacy, particularly his efforts to improve the quality of life for children with intellectual disabilities, life-threatening illnesses, and marginalized communities. At Notre Dame, he continues his research involvement by supporting non-profits through SCNO and conducting lab research on nervous system development, maintenance, and regeneration through circuit mapping. Moving forward with Kellogg Developing Researchers program, he hopes to continue developing his research skills and support faculty on projects.
