About

Abby Hernan is a sophomore at Notre Dame, majoring in political science and applied and computational mathematics and statistics. Through the International Scholars Program, Hernan will be working with Professor Breen O'Conchubhair, studying religious tensions in Northern Ireland. Specifically, she will be looking at a school teaching the Irish language in a Protestant area of Northern Ireland, and possibly connecting it to an upcoming band, Kneecap. Outside of the program, she is a Viewpoint copy editor for the Observer and member of the Student Policy Network. Also, Hernan is a member of the Glynn Family Honors Program and will be completing a thesis her senior year.
