Former Kellogg Visiting Fellow Evelyne Huber (1987-2010) and former Kellogg Visiting Fellow John Stephens (1987-2010) received the Guillermo O'Donnell Democracy Award and Lectureship from the Latin American Studies Association in May of 2019. This award recognizes outstanding scholarship in the field of democracy studies or particularly meritorious public service that promotes democracy and democratic values in Latin America and the Caribbean. In their case, it was for their work in the field of democracy studies, and much of this work was done during their two stays as fellows at the Kellogg Institute.
