Carsten-Andreas Schulz

Carsten-Andreas Schulz is an assistant professor at the Pontificia Universidad Católica de Chile, where he teaches international relations, the politics of international law, and qualitative and archival research methods.

His research focuses on the international relations of Latin American states in historical perspective. It has been published in peer-reviewed journals such as European Journal of International Relations, International Studies Quarterly, Millennium: Journal of International Studies, International Relations, and Latin American Politics and Society.

While at Kellogg, Schulz will develop a book project that explores the domestic political effects of international status-seeking, focusing on Argentina, Brazil, and Mexico during the “long nineteenth century.”

He received a DPhil from Nuffield College, Oxford University, in 2015.
