About

Audrey Seah is a Ph.D. candidate in Theology with a concentration in Liturgical Studies and a minor in World Religion, World Church. She received her B.A. in Music Composition from Fresno State University, and an M.A. and Th.M. in Theology from Saint John’s School of Theology-Seminary in Collegeville, MN. Her research interests center on the relationship between global liturgy and culture, especially with regard to ritual and reconciliation in post-conflict situations, worship and politics, and worship and disability rights. Her dissertation examines how the enculturation of Deaf culture in worship as a form of postmodern liturgical inculturation shapes narratives around deafness and the social effects of these narratives. She is also engaged in research on the role of religious rituals of healing and reconciliation in post-genocide Rwanda.
