I am from Colombia. I am PhD student in Spanish in the Department of Romance Languages and Literatures. I hold an MA in Latin American and Iberian Studies from the University of Notre Dame (2015) and a BA in Literature from the Universidad de los Andes, Colombia (2010). My articles appear in journals such as Hispanic Issues, Revista Iberoamericana, A Contracorriente, and Lingüística y Literatura. At the intersection of colonial and gender studies and biopolitics, my work focuses on diverse literary, artistic and medical scopic regimes and representations of the female genitalia in Early-Modern and Modern Latin America and Spain.
