Teh-fu Huang is professor of political science and director of the Center for Public Opinion and Public Policy at the University of Taipei. Previously, he directed the Election Study Center at National Chengchi University in Taipei. His research interests include parties and elections, comparative politics, and political economy. He has contributed to a number of publications, including Democracy and the New International Order in the 21st Century (1993), Taiwan’s Electoral Politics and Democratic Transition: Riding the Third Wave (1996), Consolidating the Third Wave Democracies (1997) and Democratization in Taiwan: Implications for China (1999). He holds a PhD from Northwestern University.
