As of January 2020, Former Kellogg Visiting Fellow (2009-2011) Tiago Fernandes was made associate professor of political science at University Institute of Lisbon (ISCTE).
Since 2016, he has been the head of the Varieties of Democracy Regional Center for Southern Europe.
He is the co-author of Legacies and Memories in Movements: Justice and Democracy in Southern Europe (Oxford University Press, 2018) and Late Neoliberalism and Its Discontents: Comparing Crises and Movements in the European Periphery (Palgrave-Macmillan, 2016). He was editor of "Civil, Society, Inequality and Democracy: Cross-Regional Comparisons," a special issue of Comparative Politics (with Rui Branco and Michael Bernhard) in April 2017.
