Former Kellogg Visiting Fellow Kristin Michelitch (2012-13), assistant professor of political science at Vanderbilt University, received a 2017 Andrew Carnegie Fellowship. Her recent paper with Guy Grossman, "Information Dissemination, Competitive Pressure, and Politician Performance between Elections: A Field Experiment in Uganda," (American Political Science Review, 2018) won the best paper award from the Experimental Political Science APSA section.
Her current research is on gender gaps in politician performance and substantive representation in Uganda, reducing misperceptions of distributive politics in Kenya, and mitigating negative attitudes towards Somalis in Kenya.
