In 2018-2019, former Kellogg Visiting Fellow Ana Arjona (spring 2016) was the Director of the Center for the Study of Security and Drugs at Los Andes University in Bogotá, Colombia, and visiting professor at the School of Economics at the same university. She created REDESDAL, the Network of Studies on Drugs in Latin America, which seeks to bring together scholars working on illicit drugs across continents in the region, promote comparative and collaborative research, and facilitate the dissemination of research findings among policy makers and the general public.

At Northwestern, where she is associate professor of Political Science, Arjona is conducting research on the legacies of civil war.
