Former Kellogg PhD Fellow and Dissertation Year Fellow Nicolás Somma '11 (PhD, sociology) is an associate professor of sociology at the Instituto de Sociología at Pontificia Universidad Católica de Chile, where he has chaired the institute since January 2020. He currently is studying labor movements in 17 Latin American countries since 1990, the Chilean uprising of 2019, and changes in domination regimes since the rise of the earliest civilizations.
