Dissertation Year Fellow Esteban Salas has been admitted to the Agrarian Studies Program at Yale University for a one year post-doctorate position starting August 1, 2021. While at Yale, Salas will research primary sources from Angola and start to structure a book manuscript based on his dissertation that centered on early plantation economies in West Central Africa during the eighteenth and nineteenth centuries. He will also be preparing two articles to submit to journals, and continue applying for academic jobs in the US.
