Faculty Fellow Guillermo Trejo and former Visiting Fellow Sandra Ley have published a new article in Comparative Political Studies. The article seeks to explain the outbreak of criminal violence among Mexican drug cartels in the 1990s well before the government’s anti-drug campaign.
