Visiting Fellow Jordi Paniagua published two journal articles in the journals Economic Modelling and Economics.
In “Does Happiness Drive Tourism Decisions?” Paniagua examines how happiness impacts domestic and international tourism flows. He found that happiness is associated with the quality of life at the specific destination; however, past a certain threshold, the importance dwindles. “Corruption and International Trade: A Re-assesment with Intra-National Flows'' analyzes the impact that corruption in a country has on trade, showing that the more corrupt a country is, the more corrupt their trade will be. Click here to read the full article in Economics.
