Former visiting fellow Arie Kacowicz (1997-98) has co-authored an opinion article with Michael Doyle, John Owen, and Benjamin Miller on "Deradicalizing Post-war Gaza: Why Biden Must Push for a Middle Eastern Marshall Plan" in the Haaretz newspaper, English edition.

The article discusses exit strategy possibilities for Israel and suggests that a roadmap not unlike the Marshall Plan might be in order for a lasting peaceful resolution to the ongoing conflict.

"Following the military defeat of Hamas and a temporary international peacekeeping force, the PA – if it is to rule Gaza legitimately and with Gazan support – would need to be transformed into a genuine government of the Palestinian people on both the West Bank and Gaza, with a new leadership and after democratic elections," it says in part.
