In an article recently published in the Mexican portal Horizontal, Kellogg Institute PhD Fellow Jorge Ivan Puma Crespo (history) reviews the book of the rising anti-populist figure Gloria Álvarez and its connections with Cold War anticommunist discourse.
The article provides a critical account of Alvarez's arguments and situates her in the intersection between the growing trend of young libertarians influenced by American political thought and older right-wing Latin American anticommunists.
