An important new report on the decline of media freedoms around the world draws on data from the Varieties of Democracy (V-Dem) project. The brainchild of four international researchers, including Faculty Fellow Michael Coppedge (political science) and former Visiting Fellow John Gerring, V-Dem is housed in the US at the Kellogg Institute.
