Maggie Shum, former Former Kellogg Doctoral Student and Hong Kong native, was mentioned in Crux due to her visit to Hong Kong during the past summer. She explains how the city was filled with protestors, however, they seemed new to street demonstrations. The protestor's frustration came from a lack of voice in political decisions which also triggered Latin American discomfort for political change and economic change as well. Similarly in the Middle East, protests for tax measures and corruption took over the streets.
