A new article by Doctoral Student Affiliate Camilo Nieto Matiz (political science) was published in the Journal of Peace Research this month. The article, "Democracy in the countryside: The rural sources of violence against voters in Colombia," explores how land inequality in Colombia contributes to electoral violence in the country. Nieto Matiz received support from the Kellogg Institute, while workshopping this article in the Comparative Politics Working Group.
