Former Visiting Fellow Leslie Anderson publishes the book The Democratization through Institutions. Anderson uses the case of Argentina to argue that institutions are the driving force to operational components of democracy. Anderson also challenges Putnam’s belief that democracy depends on high levels of social capital.
The book is also published and translated by Prometeo Libros which is an exclusive academic press in Buenos Aires. Through Prometeo, Anderson had a book launch in July of 2022 where she shared her book at academic conferences internationally.
