The Histories of Economics and Development in the Global South working group brings together scholars studying histories of capitalism, economic inequalities, human development, international trade, and more, geographically focused on research being conducted in Latin America, Africa, and Asia. The group endeavors to bridge the gap between the humanities and social sciences, connecting the research and methods of historians with economists, political scientists, and sociologists.
