Nazret Degaulle is a third-year student at the University of Notre Dame, double majoring in global affairs and international economics with a concentration in Spanish. Additionally, Degaulle has a minor in Anthropology. She is passionate about international development initiatives, the political economy of development, and analyzing economic aid allocation, with a focus on Eastern Africa and the Middle East.
Of Eritrean descent, Degaulle is particularly motivated to address development challenges affecting the African continent, seeking to understand the past and develop innovative strategies for the future. Degaulle looks forward to expanding her research skills through various projects, aiming for a career in foreign policy at a think tank or governmental institution.
