Latin American and Latino Young Scholars Conference at Notre Dame
Thursday and Friday, October 9 & 10, 2025
Grad students and Post docs, showcase your work at this two-day conference.
Conference goals:
- Share your research with a dynamic, interdisciplinary community
- Gain experience presenting in a supportive academic setting
- Connect with scholars who share your interests.
- Present in the language you feel most comfortable (English, Spanish, Portuguese, French, or any indigenous language)
CALL FOR PROPOSALS
The call is open for abstracts of 250 words for:
- Poster Presentation
- Individual Conference Paper Oral Presentation (15 minutes)
- Panel proposal (3-5 participants from different disciplines)
Poster presentations will be displayed at designated times throughout the conference, while individual oral presentations will be organized into interdisciplinary panels.
We are especially interested in proposals made by students of Latin American and Latinx heritage, but also welcome students of different origins whose research is about Latin America or Latinx Studies. Disciplines include, but are not limited to, any department, center or institute within the Colleges of Arts and Letters, Science, Engineering, the Mendoza College of Business, the Law School, the School of Architecture, and the Keough School of Global Affairs.
The deadline for proposals is Sunday August 10, 2025
