About

Joseph London is a junior studying theology. He assists Professor Daniel Philpott on research relating to the roles that religious communities worldwide play in promoting post-conflict reconciliation processes. London's current research explores the efforts that religious leaders and communities in Ukraine have sustained in the post-Cold War period to heal tensions with communities in neighboring countries such as Russia.

During the summer of 2022, as part of the Under Caesar's Sword project, London researched how Christian communities worldwide have responded to grave violations of their religious freedom over the past decade. London's research was mentored by Professor Philpott and funded by an Undergraduate Research Opportunity Program (UROP) grant through the Institute for Scholarship in the Liberal Arts.
