Jodok Troy is  2016–18 Visiting Scholar at the Europe Center, Stanford University, where he is conducting a project on international moral leadership.

His research interests include international political theory and policy issues related to international peace and security, with his work focusing on religion, ethics, international theory, violence, diplomacy, and classical realism. He is the author of Christian Approaches to International Affairs (Palgrave Macmillan, 2012), among other works.

Troy has taught at the University of Innsbruck and the University of Applied Sciences in Vienna, and he has held a research fellowship at the Center for Peace and Security Studies at Georgetown University. A native of Austria, he holds a doctorate in political science from the University of Innsbruck.
