Midwest Universities’ Development Day; December 2014

Conference/Event Grant
Grant Year
2014-2015

In December 2014 Notre Dame will host for the second time a “Midwest Development Day,” an annual event that rotates among the University of Notre Dame, the University of Chicago, Northwestern University, the University of Michigan, and Michigan State University. This event brings together faculty and graduate students engaged in research on development economics for a one-day event in which one faculty member and one grad student from each participating institution present a paper. The conference is crucial in disseminating new research ideas to Notre Dame faculty and students as well as across the profession of development economics. It also builds relationships among these scholars and among Notre Dame faculty. Outside researchers are also made aware of Kellogg’s new focus in economic development. This year’s event is organized by Kaboski and Kevin Donovan, also a Kellogg faculty fellow.
