The University of Notre Dame Timmy Global Health chapter is dedicated to working with members of the greater medical community to provide healthcare for individuals in underserved communities, namely Quito, Ecuador. Each year, ND TGH participates in a medical brigade to Quito to assist the local community which provides an extraordinary experience to Notre Dame undergraduates interested in global health. Additionally, the trip to Quito, Ecuador, would also contribute to the professional development for a professor in the Biological Sciences, Jennifer Robichaud. The inclusion of science faculty into the trip, will continue to help expand the mission of human development throughout departments at the University. As an instructor in many classes related to medicine and global health, this experience would greatly impact those classes and provide a distinct perspective to the undergraduates of Notre Dame. While simply a one week brigade, Timmy Global Health (http://timmyglobalhealth.org/), like the Kellogg Institute, is dedicated to a 52 week commitment to promoting global health equity.
