About

Grace Loonan is a first-year studying Global Affairs and International Economics on the Spanish track. Her research interests include the intersection of international security policy and human rights issues, as well as the ways in which legislation either protects or oppresses marginalized communities across Europe. This summer, Grace plans to conduct service work in Croatia through the Nanovic Institute's Serving in Europe program. Additionally, Grace works as a Research Assistant in the Klau Institute's International Race and Rights Lab, investigating how issues of race and rights can be exploited to influence great power politics. She is excited to refine her research skills and areas of interest through this program, taking advantage of all of its opportunities.
