Gianna Switalski is a first-year history major and member of the Glynn Family Honors Program with aspirations of becoming a historian. She is particularly interested in the intersection of history, religion, and politics. A student worker for the Objective Idealism Project, Gianna is completing the process of collecting and gaining permission for Professor Vittorio Hosle’s academic works. She is also a student worker for the Campus Crucifixes Initiative, a role in which she advertises, researches, and communicates for the Initiative. In the past, Gianna has contributed as a digital volunteer for the Smithsonian Institution: transcribing historical documents to preserve vital narratives. Gianna is eager to deepen her research skills and develop her own historical research questions.
