2016-2017

Graubart received funding to attend the July 2017 meeting of the Tepoztlán Institute for the Transnational Study of the Americas in Tepoztlán, Morelos, Mexico. The Tepoztlán Institute, now in its 13th year, proposes a transnational approach to understanding history and politics in Latin America and the US. Graubart has been involved in various ways with the Institute since its second year, and now serves on its Collective. The Institute has been central to the development of Graubart’s research and academic publications, and it has been one of the central ways she has socialized her graduate students. Graubart looks forward to deepening this relationship through the Collective, where she helps recruit new participants, decides on the annual theme and theoretical syllabus, and assists in raising funds to sustain its mission.
