Ese-Onosen Omoijuanfo is a 2023 graduate from the University of Notre Dame, she is currently a second year medical student at Case Western Reserve University Medical School. She was a Hesburgh-Yusko Scholar and a part of the Glynn Family Honors program during her time at Notre Dame. She has lived in Benin, Nigeria, and Romania and loves talking about her experiences in those countries.
Ese-Onosen conducted research at Harper Cancer research center, ran a bible study on campus, volunteered at the Vineyard Church Community Center, and worked as a Writing Center tutor. Ese-Onosen spent the summer of 2022 in Romania conducting research on the motivations that compel Romanian citizens to volunteer. She hopes to someday be involved in international non-profit work.
Now in medical school she is a part of the World Medicine Pathway and is part of the leadership that conducts the education committee for the pathway. She has a deep interest in women's health and is conducting research on both the quality of life of lung cancer survivors and cancer and hearing loss. She is also involved in research about global health education opportunities available during medical school.
