Emily Ji, a first-year Economics major from Shenzhen, China, is passionate about leveraging research to tackle social and economic challenges. In high school, she conducted two independent research projects addressing regional inequalities in China. Her research experiences have fueled her interest in macroeconomics, international trade, and development policy. Inspired by works like Why Nations Fail, she is eager to delve into economic modeling to establish causality and simulate outcomes. Emily seeks collaborative opportunities and mentorship to refine her analytical skills, broaden her perspective, and contribute to impactful solutions for real-world challenges.
