Emily Demmings is a sophomore studying Global Affairs with a minor in Theology. Her research interests include human-centered approaches to international development, peacebuilding, and the intersection of the two. She believes education initiatives can have a powerful role in advancing sustainable international development and is interested in further exploring this area. She is also interested in researching strategies to achieve lasting, positive peace in conflict-affected regions. On campus, Emily works as a tutor with TutorND and is the Outreach Executive for her dorm, Lewis Hall.
