Didac Queralt is an assistant professor of political science at Yale University. He conducts research at the intersection of comparative and international political economy, examining the origins of fiscal institutions.  His findings have been published in the Quarterly Journal of Political Science, International Studies Quarterly, and Comparative Political Studies.  Queralt is also working on a book manuscript that traces the long-term effects of international finance on state capacity and limited government.  He previously worked as an assistant professor at the Institute of Political Economy & Governance and a post-doctoral fellow at Juan March Institute of Social Science. He holds master’s degrees from the Juan March Institute and Pompeu Fabra University, as well as a PhD in comparative political economy from New York University.
