Devin Humphreys is a JD candidate at Notre Dame Law School, currently in his second year. He earned his B.A. with honor in Political Theory and Constitutional Democracy from Michigan State University's James Madison College in 2020. Before arriving at Notre Dame Law School, Devin worked as a research assistant for Dr. Amanda Flaim, conducting research on the role of national actors in producing crises of nationality. As part of those research efforts, Devin was a participant in the inaugural World Conference on Statelessness, organized by the Institute on Statelessness and Inclusion and held in The Hague in 2019. Devin's research interests include international human rights law, legislative process, conflict of laws, and the relationship between law and equity. In his role with the CAROL Lab, Devin's research focuses on defining the common good through the synthesis of a variety of religious, political, economic, and legal perspectives.
