David Buckley is a junior at the University of Notre Dame majoring in Global Affairs with minors in Theology, Social Entrepreneurship & Innovation, and Real Estate. As a Kellogg Developing Researcher, he hopes to further strengthen his qualitative and quantitative research skills by learning from leading practitioners. David’s academic interests center on international development and social entrepreneurship. In the summer of 2023, he worked with a non- governmental organization in Lithuania serving the Roma community. In the summer of 2024, he worked with Caritas and AGAPE in Poland as part of the Nanovic Institute’s Serving (in) Europe program, supporting educational programs for disadvantaged youth. He will return to Poland in the summer of 2025 with a Pulte Institute Fellowship to conduct field research on the social entrepreneurship landscape. In addition, he will join AlphaSights as a Summer Associate in their research group. On campus, David serves as the incoming co-head of the Startup Coach and Pre-Accelerator Programs at the IDEA Center, guiding early-stage student ventures. He is also a member of the Notre Dame Boxing Club.
