Daniella Ucen '26 is studying Political Science and Arabic with a minor in International Security Studies at the University of Notre Dame. Although she is from Bradenton, Florida, she has spent most of her life abroad in Kuwait City, Kuwait; Dubai, UAE; and Vienna, Austria. She has gained deep knowledge of the culture and society of the Middle East and central/eastern Europe, with intermediate language abilities in German, Arabic, and Slovak. Thus, she is passionate about research in the field of foreign relations, with the aim of effectively bolstering relations and bridging divides among communities.

As part of the Kellogg Developing Researchers Program, Daniella is working with Professor Erin McDonnell to qualitatively code a random sample of published political science articles to identify contribution form.
