Cullen Geahigan is currently writing his senior thesis under the direction of Professor Sebastian Rosato on regime-type and military effectiveness. Geahigan is an Army ROTC cadet as part of the University of Notre Dame Fightin' Irish Battalion. He is a Notre Dame International Security Center Undegraduate Fellow. 

Geahigan has used grant and scholarship funding to study Russian language, culture, and politics in Eastern Europe, having most recently travelled to Moldova for the Summer of 2023. In the past, he has researched compliance to international institutions, NATO enlargement, and coup-proofing behavior in Northern Africa and the Middle East.
