The Kellogg Institute for International Studies, part of the University of Notre Dame’s new Keough School of Global Affairs, is an interdisciplinary community of scholars that promotes research, provides educational opportunities, and builds linkages related to democracy and human development.

During the 2021-2022 academic year, Cullen Geahigan will be researching the Permanent Court of Arbitration (PCA) under the supervision of Professor Aníbal Pérez-Liñán. Geahigan will be analyzing why states comply with the rulings of the PCA. Additional attention will be paid towards the relatively few case numbers in the 20th century as compared with the 21st century.
Geahigan has received an undergraduate fellowship with the Notre Dame International Security Center and will complete a senior thesis as part of the Center’s certificate program.
