Colly Urdan is a sophomore majoring in History and Political Science, with a minor in PPE. He is very eager to learn from the Kellogg faculty as well as his fellow students. Urdan is interested in studying the relationship between religion and politics in developing nations, and the role it plays in shaping national identity. He’s also curious to investigate the causes behind democratic backsliding in more advanced democracies. Hailing from San Francisco, Urdan has worked in state and local politics, speaks and writes proficient Spanish, and is trained to process archaeological artifacts. This fall Urdan is a Hesburgh Democracy Fellow and an editor at the Notre Dame Journal of Political Science. He is also a member of Notre Dame’s men’s rugby team, and is proud to live in Keenan Hall.
