Clare Cullinan is a junior majoring in global affairs and intending to minor in international development studies. Her research interests include early childhood education, food security, peacebuilding, and international development. She hopes to focus her research interests on the concept of accompaniment, which allows people to play a role in forming their own futures. She desires to one day accompany underdeveloped communities and children in their pursuit of more prosperous lives. She has worked with an organization in Tunuyán, Argentina named The Vines to foster sustainable partnerships, address critical food needs, and empower the community.
Clare is excited to work with a multi-disciplinary, distinguished, group of scholars and practitioners who are making a difference in the world through their teaching and research. She is currently developing her knowledge of the Spanish language and fostering the skills necessary to conduct strong and impactful research. She hopes to apply what she learns to provide informed and compassionate solutions to address the policy decisions, logistical challenges and financial limitations facing communities across the world.
