About

Carson Krol is a senior at Notre Dame studying Computer Science. Inspired by Catholic liberation theology, he is interested in how Data Science can be used to advance development projects, and thus has spent his time at Notre Dame not just developing his technical, quantitative, and analytical skills but also seeking a broad range of international experiences. These have included a summer serving as a missionary at a children’s home in Honduras, a semester studying abroad in Jerusalem, and a summer working for the #1-ranked resort in Argentina attempting to grow its new foundation in its nascent stages. He is interested in education, childhood development, agricultural projects, and food insecurity, as well as how private companies can be used to provide social good, especially through the lens of corporate social responsibility. Carson is excited to develop his research skills through the Kellogg Developing Researchers Program in order to conduct his own research in the future as well as accurately assess the performance of development projects.
