About

Audriana Palacios is a neuroscience and behavior and Spanish major with a minor in compassionate care in medicine. She plans to pursue an M.D. and a Ph.D. later in her academic career. She works under Professor Terence McDonnell, focusing on how objects activate senses and affect meaning-making.

Throughout the year, Palacios will analyze whether embodied simulations and text and video-based narrative accounts of health conditions activate different meaning-making processes. The objective is to better understand when, why, and how objects affect people’s beliefs and behaviors, especially pro social outcomes.
