Ángela Pérez Jijena, ACI, is a LANACC research visitor, in residence at Kellogg from January to May 2018. She is a PhD candidate in theology at the Pontifical Catholic University of Chile, where she completed a master’s in fundamental theology with the thesis “Transcendence within History: A Reading Key for Karl Rahner’s Foundations of Christian Faith.” Her research interests include hermeneutical philosophy, Christian soteriology, dialogue between theology and literature, and Latin America and Caribbean literature, particularly the narrative of Alejo Carpentier. Her dissertation is entitled “Comprensión de Salvación. Aportes de la literatura hispanoamericana contemporánea para una resignificación del concepto salvación.”
